Hi, this Angela, born in Shanghai, raised in Canada and currently living in Japan!
For all my feminine friends out there, life feels crappy enough when our monthly best friend decides to visit us, without…purchasing the wrong Pain Killers! I mean, it’s uncomfortable +pain! Well, for everyone whose monthly friend decides to launch a surprise attack when they are in Japan, following my post on the Top 3 Made in Japan Sanitary Napkins, today I am going to introduce the Top 3 Made in Japan Pain Killers that will save your day!
Rank 3 Bufferin Luna i
This pain killer is manufactured by Lion Inc., sold at 20 tablets/ box @ 650 yen. 2 tablets should be taken at a time, up to 3 times a day. I find it doesn’t really work that well for me, but apparently it works very well for most of my friends. I heard that the good thing about Bufferin I is that it has little side effects. Maybe you should give it a try when you are in Japan.
Rank 2 Eve A Tablets
This pain killer is manufactured by SS pharmaceutical company, and it is sold at 24 tablets/ box @ 810 yen. 2 tablets should be taken at a time after meals, up to 3 times a day. The great thing about this Pain killer is that it also works for headaches, which is why I always carry a pack in my purse. I find it works perfectly fine for me, but according to some, it can cause itchiness in some people as a side effect, and some say the pain killing effect works, but it is kind of on the weak side.
Rank 1 Loxonin S
This pain killer is manufactured by Daiichi Sankyo Health Care Inc., sold at 12 tablets/ box @ 700 yen.1 tablet should be taken at a time after meals, up to 2 times a day. The great part about Loxonin S is that it can be found in most common drugstores. Moreover, this pain killer is usually prescribed by most doctors in Japan when you see a doctor for period cramps, which proves how effective a pain killer Loxonin S can be. To elaborate on the effects of the medicine a little more, the pain subside around 20~30 mins after taking the tablet, and lasts for around 7~8 hours. I highly recommend Loxonin S as a pain killer for stomach cramps when your period comes. However, keep in mind that you shouldn’t rely on medicine too much! You should always try to exercise more, and eat a healthy diet. In staying healthy, you should find some change in your stomach cramps when your period comes, and hopefully don’t have to rely on pain killers as much anymore.
I hope you liked my article! Let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Well, enjoy your time in Japan!
