Hi, this Angela, born in Shanghai, raised in Canada and currently living in Japan!

If you are reading this article, you are probably in Japan, and a little concerned about motion sickness.  I usually don’t get motion sickness when I am in Tokyo. I mean, the mean means of commuting is the JR and metro systems, and these are pretty stable. Even if you take a bus when you are in Japan, the roads are pretty well maintained so that there’s not enough bumps in the road to cause motion sickness most of the time. If you are prone to motion sickness, than I guess you might have to take the necessary safety precautions when you take the bus, aka tour bus. However, I’d say you are pretty safe otherwise until you head to the suburbs of Tokyo like Chiba. Some of my favorite activities in the suburbs of Tokyo are to head to some of the farms in Chiba for strawberry picking and other activities. I sometimes go to Mother Farm (click here for the link, http://www.motherfarm.co.jp/en/), because they have a really great field of flowers that might be worth it looking at. For all you people who love to head out to the sea, I would also recommend you carry a pack of motion sickness medication. Trust me, I am not someone who usually gets motion sickness, but once when I was heading out to the sea with some friend for a fishing trip, the waves kept tossing out yacht, and I was soon feeling sick enough that they had to turn the yacht back to the port. At that point, I wish I had some motion sickness medication so that they didn’t have to turn back to the port just for me. That is why I will introduce the TOP made in Japan motion sickness medications for your reference.

Rank 3 Travelop QQ

This motion sickness medication is extremely easy to recognize with the DORAEMON character. In case that you don’t know what DORAEMON is, it is a pretty famous Japanese animation character. It works pretty well against nausea, dizziness, and headaches caused by motion sickness. All you do is take the number of dosage according to the age restrictions written on the box 30 minutes before you get in the car/ boat, etc. What I like about is, it tastes like Cider candy, which makes it pretty easy to take the medication, even for children. If you are someone who hates to take medication because of the taste, I would recommend Travelop QQ.

Rank 2 Travelmin

This motion sickness medication works pretty well against nausea, dizziness, and headaches caused by motion sickness just like Travelop QQ. However, note that this motion sickness medication is only for people that are 15+, not for children.  Take 1 pill each time, up to 3 times a day. For adults taking Travelmin, if there are any signs of itching or rashes, breathing difficulty or difficulties peeing, please consult a doctor.

Rank 1 Aneron

This motion sickness medication works pretty well against nausea, dizziness, and headaches caused by motion sickness just like Travelop QQ and Travelmin. However, the great thing about this medication that would make it rank first place is that it is extremely effective against the symptoms listed above, plus it has a long lasting effect.

I hope you liked my article! Let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Well, enjoy your time in Japan!
